Job summary

Sedco Engineering in Pahiatua is seeking a practical, hands-on Assembly & Finishing Technician. You will join a small, friendly team working 7:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, assembling agricultural machinery and preparing surfaces for paint and finishing.

A background in assembly, farming or related trades is useful, with forklift experience a bonus. Full training provided, PPE and tools supplied, and a travel allowance up to $120 weekly if outside the district.

Responsibilities

• Assemble agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing.
• Sand, fill and perform finishing work.
• Assist with spray painting and coating work.
• Quality check finished products.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the engineering team.
• Help across the workshop as needed.
