Job summary

Waimea Group NZ in Richmond, Tasman is seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our team. This permanent, full-time role focuses on the efficient assembly of automotive components and maintaining our high production standards.

You will assemble prefabricated items onto truck cab chassis, fasten sub-assemblies to the superstructure, follow SOPs, support with engineering and fabrication as workload allows, and assist service and development projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in handling portable power and hand tools.
• Practical logical aptitude for parts/equipment installation.
• 2+ years in the automotive industry.
• Technical aptitude and understanding of trucks and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assemble of prefabricated items onto truck cab chassis.
• Tightening and fastening of sub-assemblies to truck superstructure.
• Following of SOPs on 'how to' for assembly.
• Following quality control process to Waimea Group standards.
• Aiding prefabricated team with engineering and fabrication as needed based on workload.
