Job summary

Ravensdown Limited in Napier invites an experienced Process Laboratory Analyst to join our manufacturing site.

You will perform environmental compliance testing (discharge stack, stormwater, ambient air), in‑process quality control of fertiliser, and sampling. You will operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, review data, and communicate findings to production staff to drive quick turnaround and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory.
• A science-related degree or equivalent.
• Practical laboratory skills and an interest in factory processes and chemistry.
• Experience using analytical instrumentation such as UV Spectrophotometer and Atomic Absorption instruments will be advantageous.
• Thorough knowledge of workplace H&S.
• A high level of self-motivation and initiative; ability to adapt to new processes and systems.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft programs and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance testing (discharge stack, stormwater, ambient air).
• Perform fertiliser in-process quality control and sampling for dispatch.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment; review data and report findings.
• Support fast turnaround for customer samples and drive quality improvements.
