Job summary

HW Richardson Group in Oamaru, North Otago, is seeking a hands-on civil pipelayer to install stormwater, wastewater and water systems on civil and subdivision projects. You will trench, lay, joint and backfill to grade, reading civil plans and levels on site.

Join a small, down-to-earth crew with steady local work and real career progression. Must have NZ Certificate in Drainlaying/Pipelaying (or equivalent), a current NZ driver’s licence, and Site Safe tickets or a plan to obtain them.

Qualifications

NZ Certificate in Drainlaying/Pipelaying or equivalent trade background.
Hands-on experience installing pipework on civil projects.
Current NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 advantageous).
Site Safe/HS tickets, or willingness to get them.
Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a small crew.

Responsibilities

Installing stormwater, wastewater, and water reticulation pipework on civil and subdivision projects.
Trenching, laying, jointing, and backfilling to spec and grade.
Reading civil plans and levels.
Working alongside machine operators and civil crew to keep projects moving.
Keeping the job site safe, tidy, and compliant.
