Job summary

Roading and Building Recruitment is seeking two Hammerhands for a Christchurch-based role at Hillsborough. The role involves carpentry, framing and truss work, with some portable buildings. A physically capable, team-oriented worker with 2–3 years' experience and BCITO training is preferred.

Work is Monday to Friday with early start times; full PPE is provided and training opportunities are available. A strong, down-to-earth team culture awaits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in a similar role.
• Physically capable for a labour-intensive role.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work predominantly in carpentry focusing on frame and trusses.
• Contribute to small portable buildings and related structures.

Roading and Building Recruitment – Hillsborough, South Island

With a new purpose built facility in Hillsborough, we are currently looking for two Hammerhands to join a tight knit team.

This role is predominantly Carpentry and will focus on Frame and Trusses, however there is a current workload the team is working through of small Portable buildings.

Given this role at times will be physical, a good level of fitness is required, as is excellent communication and the willingness to work in a team. Ideally we are looking for individuals with 2-3 years experience in a similar role, with BCITO training on offer.

Although this role will be Christchurch based working 5am-4pm Monday to Thursday with a 2pm finish Friday.

We do also have a possible role for similar skills in another area of Christchurch if you are interested in this position, but not it's location.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF

• Have reliable transport to and from work
• Have previous experience in Carpentry
• Hold Hand tool and power tool experience
• Are capable of manual handling at times
• Have the ability to pass a Drug Test
• Have a satisfactory Criminal History Check
