Job summary

Advanced Personnel Limited is seeking experienced Hammerhands for construction opportunities across the Manawatu/Wanganui Region. You will support Carpenters, prepare materials and assist with framing, formwork and general carpentry.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction, solid carpentry skills and confidence with hand and power tools. A strong safety mindset and team player attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' construction/Hammerhand experience.
• Good practical carpentry skills.
• Confident with hand and power tools.
• Experience in residential, commercial or civil construction.
• Physically fit and hands-on.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Reliable and a good team player.
• Site Safe certification, licence and own tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting qualified Carpenters and other tradespeople.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing building materials.
• Assisting with framing, formwork and general carpentry.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Moving and preparing materials.
• Site preparation and clean-up.
• Following plans and instructions.
• Maintaining safe and tidy work areas.
