Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks Haematology Registrars to join Palmerston North Hospital, starting February 2027. This training role supports both inpatient and outpatient services across the region, with emphasis on learning and collaboration.

You will work with seven consultants, engage in regional clinics, and contribute to haematology care including AML and stem cell work. Applications welcome from eligible registrars.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for registration.
• Completion of RACP Basic Training, including examinations.
• Eligibility for Advanced Haematology Training pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient haematology care.
• Participate in regional clinics and outreach services.
• Contribute to AML management and stem cell transplantation activity.
• Collaborate within a team of consultants and registrars.
