Job summary

The Kind Foundation, operating Hotel Give in Christchurch, seeks a friendly Reception Team member on a fixed term basis. The role includes welcoming guests, managing bookings, and delivering outstanding service across shift patterns, including weekends and evenings.

Location: Hotel Give, 6 Rolleston Ave, Christchurch Central. Term: Sept 2026 to Apr 2027, minimum 20 hours/week. Prior Opera Cloud is a bonus; strong communication and a can-do attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Provide warm, professional guest service and handle enquiries with a friendly manner.
• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and flexibility.
• Remain calm and solution-focused when facing busy periods or issues.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech; update bookings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and check them in/out efficiently.
• Manage bookings via phone, online, and in person.
• Respond to email bookings and enquiries.
• Handle cash with accurate balancing.
