Job summary

Group Support in Hāwera, Taranaki, seeks a senior finance leader to head the accounting function. You will manage a seven-person team through the monthly cycle, turning numbers into actionable commentary for directors, while partnering with the CFO on budgets and forecasts.

You’ll drive scalable processes across AP/AR and systems, mentor staff, and report to the CFO. Hybrid work includes four days in Hawera and one from home or NP office.

Qualifications

• Solid accounting or finance experience with senior or team-leading roles.
• Ability to provide monthly management reporting and CFO-ready commentary.
• CA qualification preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation is not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting team through the monthly cycle.
• Deliver insightful commentary for directors and board.
• Support budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
• Coach and develop the team; ensure AP/AR/systems processes are sharp.
