Job summary

Madison Recruitment is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain one of Auckland's most loved public spaces at Western Springs. This outdoor, physically demanding role keeps paths, grass and gardens tidy and visitor-ready.

Start ASAP (potential extension). Hours are 7am–3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday. A NZ driver licence and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen are required, with pay at $29.90 per hour plus 8% holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a full New Zealand driver licence.

We’re on the lookout for a reliable and hands-on Groundskeeper to join a dedicated team maintaining one of Auckland’s most loved public spaces.

What you’ll be doing:

This is a true outdoor and physically active role, keeping the grounds safe, tidy and looking their best for the thousands of daily visitors. You’ll be on your feet for much of the day and need to be comfortable with regular physical work.

Tasks include but not limited to:

• Litter picking and general waste management
• Lawn mowing and leaf blowing
• Basic plant care and weed control
• General physical grounds and maintenance work
• Lifting and moving items weighing up to 20kg

Details:

• Start: ASAP - December, with potential to extend
• Location: Western Springs
• Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday
• Driver licence: A full, New Zealand driver licence is required
• You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen with a clear result
• $29.90 per hour + 8% holiday pay
