Job summary

Print Pro in Christchurch is seeking a creative Graphic Designer to grow beyond traditional design. You’ll start with promotional material and signage for existing clients, then expand into packaging, branding and product concepts in New Zealand.

You’ll work closely with Directors on a variety of design projects, including retail signage and printed marketing materials. The role emphasizes independence, meeting deadlines, and applying strong typography and branding across all work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a graphic designer.
• A Graphic Design qualification is advantageous.
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Advanced CorelDRAW skills are essential.
• Strong knowledge of branding, typography, print production and signage.
• Experience with vinyl cutting, large-format printing and sign fabrication is a plus.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Good eye for layout, typography and colour and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design logos, branding, menus, flyers, brochures, vehicle graphics, social media content and outdoor signage.
• Create artwork using CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Produce social media graphics and basic promotional videos.

Print Pro is well established printing business and they are looking for a creative Graphic Designer who enjoys bringing ideas to life and wants to grow their career beyond traditional graphic design.

This is more than a signage role. You'll begin by creating promotional material and signage for our existing clientele, while learning our brands and products. As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to become involved in exciting projects including packaging design, new product development, branding, and product concepts in New Zealand.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with our Directors to create a wide variety of design projects.

Initially, your focus will be on:

• Retail signage and promotional posters
• Flyers, certificates and printed marketing material
• Preparing artwork for print
• Digital graphics for websites and social media

Requirement

• At least three years experiences as a graphic designer
• Has a qualification in Graphic Design will be an advantage
• Is confident using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Advanced CorelDRAW skills are essential
• Strong knowledge of branding, typography, print production and signage.
• Experience with vinyl cutting, large-format printing and sign fabrication will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Willingness to work under pressure, including overtime, evenings and weekends when required to meet project deadlines.
• Has a good eye for layout, typography and colour
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines
