Overview

We’re on the hunt for a Senior Graphic Design / Lead Designer who lives and breathes design. Based in Wanaka, you’ll play a key role in the marketing team and work closely with our Creative Director. Leading the creative charge, shaping bold, unforgettable campaigns that bring Mons Royale’s distinctive energy to life across every channel, from seasonal campaign rollouts to immersive retail experiences and dynamic digital platforms. This is a role for a designer who is driven to create impact and is a strong team leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the visual direction of seasonal campaigns, from concept to execution.
  • Develop campaign assets across digital, web, social, email and retail environments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to shape campaign storytelling.
  • Maintain and evolve the visual expression and tone of Mons Royale.
  • Provide strong creative leadership and collaborate seamlessly with graphic designers, marketing and cross-functional teams to bring campaigns and brand initiatives to life.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and multiple projects move smoothly without quality drop.

  • Epic storytelling: you turn ideas into bold, visually striking narratives across digital, social, web and retail and have a portfolio to show it.
  • Brand mastery: you know how to make Mons Royale’s identity shine consistently in every campaign, asset and touchpoint.
  • Design execution: Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, web assets and immersive digital content.
  • UI/UX awareness: Your designs not only look incredible but work seamlessly across platforms.
  • Collaborative design systems: Strong in FIGMA and other tools, designing digital interfaces, prototypes and presentations.
  • File and asset management: Organising production-ready files for web, print and retail use.
  • Campaign sense: You understand marketing goals and craft creative that drives engagement and impact.
  • Trend-savvy: You’re tuned into design, culture and the outdoor/action sports world, with a drive for progression. This is expressed through graphic design, type and imagery.
  • Leadership & collaboration: You inspire and mentor other designers, working with marketing, product and external creatives.
  • Project agility: You thrive managing multiple campaigns and deadlines without compromising on quality.
