Position: Grant Writer

To support our exciting new Commercial team, we are looking for a Grant Writer. This role focuses on identifying available grant opportunities and crafting compelling grant applications in collaboration with internal stakeholders. The Grant Writer is also responsible for overseeing, tracking, and reporting on grant applications and secured funding.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted and proactive advisor to all parts of our business, including Auckland Zoo, New Zealand Maritime Museum, Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Stadiums, Auckland Live, and our Industry & Investment and Māori Outcomes teams. Your enthusiasm for collaboration, coupled with your ability to foster robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, will drive the implementation of best practices in grant administration, aligning with our organizational strategic objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Ideally 3+ years' experience in the fundraising sector
  2. Established relationships with key funders
  3. A deep understanding of the entire grant funding process – research, identification of appropriate funds, writing grant applications, monitoring and tracking funds received, and reporting
  4. Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
