Job summary

GHD is seeking Graduate Structural Engineers to join the February 2027 cohort in New Zealand. Opportunities are available in Christchurch (also open to Tauranga and Auckland).

You will support the design and delivery of structural projects, work with multidisciplinary teams, and develop your technical and consulting skills through mentoring and hands-on experience. The two-year Graduate Development Program provides a structured start to a consulting career, with opportunities to grow within GHD

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduated or to graduate by end of 2026.
• Willingness to learn NZ standards and engineering software.
• Based in New Zealand; Christchurch, Tauranga or Auckland preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of structural projects across buildings/infrastructure.
• Assist with calculations, modelling, drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Use engineering software to support project design and delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, site visits and team meetings.
