Placements24 is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join their transportation planning team for a remote-first role in New Zealand. You will contribute to traffic analysis, transport modeling, and planning of road networks and public transport infrastructure.

Under mentorship, you'll gain exposure to planning tools, develop professional skills, and work on challenging projects from anywhere, with a supportive environment and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with traffic analysis principles and transport modeling software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in conducting traffic impact studies and analyses for new developments.
• Support the development and calibration of transport models using specialized software.
• Contribute to the planning and design of road networks, intersections, and public transport facilities.
• Gather and analyze transportation data, including traffic counts, travel patterns, and demographic information.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documentation under supervision.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in transportation planning and engineering.
