Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks a capable aerospace engineer to contribute to mission design, trajectory optimization, and GNC R&D across Electron, Neutron, and other programs. The role involves developing auto-sequence designs, performing Monte-Carlo analyses, and ensuring successful launch operations while maintaining strict safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechatronics, with 1–2 years in software and aerospace engineering, including rocketry experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechatronics.
  • 1–2 years of software development experience.
  • 1–2 years of aerospace engineering experience (rocketry).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with trajectory optimization and mission design for launch vehicles.
  • Develop and verify auto sequence designs for flight and tests.
  • Conduct Monte-Carlo analyses for pre-flight, launch day, and post-flight.
  • Analyze and validate spacecraft separation sequences and dynamics.
  • Support GNC R&D and launch operations.
  • Uphold health and safety policies.
