Job summary

Wyma Solutions, a world leader in post-harvest handling equipment, seeks a Mechanical Design Manager to lead a product group and mentor the design team at our Christchurch facility. You will drive high engineering standards from concept through installation, excel in CAD and analysis, and ensure design for manufacture and cost optimisation while delivering multiple projects on time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical/machinery design in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience and ability to build collaborative teams.
• Strong 2D/3D CAD capability and engineering analysis skills.
• Experience in design for manufacture and cost optimisation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• An engineering qualification (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar or relevant experience).
