We’re currently looking for a GIS Analyst to join our team in a permanent, full-time role. This is an exciting opportunity to support our Biodiversity & Biosecurity, Conservation, Water, and Greenspaces programmes through mapping, data management, and spatial analysis.

You‘ll be involved in various activities including:

  • Using GIS applications to support our environmental contracts
  • Developing and maintaining geospatial datasets for projects
  • Taking responsibility for the management of asset information data and its quality
  • Creating and managing dashboards, web apps and reporting tools
  • Undertaking field data collection using mobile GIS platforms
  • Leading liaison with our clients regarding landowner information and mapping processes
  • Providing training and support to staff in the use of GIS field apps and map products

Ideally applicants will have:

  • Experience working with ESRI products (ArcPro, ARCGIS online, AGOL, Drone2Map, Field Maps)
  • GIS Degree preferred (BSc Majoring in GIS)
  • Some previous practical field experience in conservation, agriculture or forestry would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train / upskill others in GIS processes
  • A positive attitude to completing tasks to a high standard
