Geotechnics Ltd is a specialist materials testing company delivering laboratory and field testing services across New Zealand. Hawke’s Bay-based Laboratory & Field Technician role offers hands-on work on soil, aggregate and pavement samples.

Qualifications

• Laboratory or geotechnical laboratory experience is preferred.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a practical, hands-on role.
• Able to follow procedures and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test soil, aggregate and pavement samples.
• Record results accurately and maintain equipment.
• Conduct field testing with Scala, NDM, Clegg and shear vane.
• Assist with sampling, test pits, hand augering and site investigations.
• Travel to construction sites and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Follow standards and procedures while ensuring quality.
