Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora's Whanganui Hospital invites applications for a General Radiologist to join a small, collaborative team. You will interpret CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound in a modern rural hospital with a balanced workload and opportunities to contribute to teaching and service development.

To be successful, hold MCNZ registration in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology or be eligible for registration.

Qualifications

• Hold vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, or
• Be an overseas-trained Radiologist eligible for MCNZ registration (including Locum Tenens pathway)

Responsibilities

• Interpret imaging across CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound.
• Vet and protocol imaging requests.
• Collaborate with referring clinicians.
• Provide guidance for Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs).
• Contribute to teaching and service development.
