The Practice and the Team

The Whanganui clinic at Castlecliff is a purpose-built facility, designed to accommodate both general practice and skin cancer services. The premises won the 2020 MediSpace Good Space Award under it’s previous name, recognising how the design enhances the patient experience, supports the model of care and benefits the practitioners working in the space. It’s a really diverse, multicultural team, with over 10 nationalities represented across the general practice, skin cancer and aged care services. This broad range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives only enhances the level of care for this community. The group has been recognised for its innovative work in developing the practice culture and kaupapa.

Location

Whanganui is a gem for those who love art, heritage, river life and a touch of the unexpected. Wander the streets to discover galleries, heritage buildings and a strong sense of local pride, or pop your kayak in the river for a leisurely paddle.

For something more energetic, bike the Whanganui River Road to the Bridge to Nowhere. You’re around two and a half hours from Wellington or a quick drive to Palmerston North for airport access, but chances are the creative spirit and laid-back charm of Whanganui will give you no reason to leave.
