Head Medical seeks a dedicated General / Internal Medicine Physician to join the Whanganui team. You will provide inpatient and outpatient general internal medicine services, contribute to service development, and teach junior doctors and medical students.

The role involves on-call participation, collaboration in a multidisciplinary team, and opportunities for leadership and innovation in a supportive community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Holds (or is eligible for) vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Has broad general internal medicine experience.
• Values teamwork and equitable care delivery.
• Is passionate about teaching and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide general internal medicine inpatient and outpatient services, with potential sub-specialty interests.
• Participate in the acute medical on-call roster.
