Job summary

Farmers Trading Company Ltd is seeking a General Beauty Advisor for a permanent part-time position in Auckland. You will welcome customers, demonstrate makeup techniques, and promote prestige brands like Chanel, Dior, Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Shiseido.

You will build a loyal client base, confidently apply makeup, advise on products, and work with our Beauty teams to provide an exceptional customer experience daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or hospitality with sales targets.
• Strong communication and an outgoing, helpful manner.
• Proficiency in makeup application and client consultation.

We are the Department Store that has it all, with 60 stores nationwide we are one of New Zealand's largest retail networks which means we can offer career progression and endless opportunities.

This is a permanent part-time position. The successful candidate will work the following roster:

• Monday: 10am - 5:30pm
• Sunday: 9:30am - 6pm

As a General Beauty Advisor you have an exciting opportunity to work amongst some of the world's most prestigious Brands … Chanel, Dior, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Shiseido to name but a few.

This is your opportunity to showcase your talents, from makeup application to diagnosing skincare concerns, this role offers it all. You can positively impact your customers and spread joy, and who wouldn't want to do that on a daily basis?!

This role is varied and enables you to work across all our prestige Brands, it will require you to:

• Create and build a clientele where you will be their trusted Advisor.
• Be confident in applying products, recommending products and closing the sale over a variety of Brands.
• Demonstrate team work and build relationships within our Beauty teams.
• Share your passion for all our Brands and all their exciting offerings.

About You:

We are seeking a General Beauty Advisor to join our team who has:

• Experience working in a retail or hospitality environment and achieving sales targets.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to approach customers in-store & via telephone in a confident friendly manner to determine how to provide a rewarding customer experience.
• Strong technical competency in makeup artistry, a certificate or diploma in makeup artistry would be in advantage.
• A genuine interest in current beauty trends and pop culture, with motivation to up-skill on new product knowledge, reviews and launches.
