Job summary

The Warehouse Group in Thames is seeking a Gardening Team Member for a part-time, permanent position. You will welcome customers, answer gardening questions, and help shoppers find products during scheduled shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Retail or customer-facing experience is helpful, but a genuine passion for plants and a positive attitude are essential. You should be comfortable standing for long periods and ready to learn.

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role.

Hours of work are:

• Tuesday:10:00am - 1:00pm
• Thursday & Friday:10:00am - 1:00pm
• Saturday:10:00am - 2:00pm

As a critical member of our Gardening team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service and assisting customers with all their gardening needs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. If you're excited about the prospect of building a career in the retail industry and becoming an expert in all things gardening, we would love to hear from you.

Retail experience is preferred but optional - what we're looking for is someone with a genuine love for plants and gardening and a dedication to delivering outstanding service - take advantage of this opportunity to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our customers!

Having experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial, but it's not essential. Good communication skills are essential, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn is a must. Additionally, you should be comfortable standing for long periods.
