The role

Are you a passionate gardener and landscaper looking for a flexible, casual role to put your horticultural skills to good use? Your Garden Doctor, a leading provider of garden and landscaping services in Christchurch, is seeking a talented Gardener/Landscaper to join our team. This is a casual position, offering the opportunity to work in the beautiful gardens and landscapes of Christchurch Central Canterbury.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining and caring for a variety of gardens and outdoor spaces

Performing general gardening tasks such as trimming, pruning, spraying, mowing, edging, weeding, and planting

Assisting with landscaping projects, including installing new plants, and trees

Providing expert advice and recommendations to clients on all aspects of garden and plant health

Pest and disease identification and control

Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a gardener or landscaper, with a strong understanding of horticulture and plant care

Excellent practical gardening skills, including the use of various gardening tools and equipment

Correct use of tools and equipment to a high Health and Safety standard

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently to a high standard

Good communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work in a casual, as-needed capacity with the option of more permanent hours

Full drivers licence and own transport
