Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a reliable Gardener to maintain outdoor spaces across the Thames region. You will assist with planting, weeding, pruning and general vegetation control, ensuring projects meet client expectations and safety standards.

Reporting to the Team Manager, you’ll work closely with teammates, mentor trainees, and contribute to a cohesive, high-quality maintenance service for councils and private clients.

Qualifications

• Lively outdoors work with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Full, current driver’s licence with experience driving a manual vehicle.
• Health and safety awareness or willingness to learn.
• Good communication with colleagues and wider community.
• Physically fit to stand, bend and perform gardening tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Create gardens meeting client specifications, following plans, sourcing plants and materials, and planting accordingly.
• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of designated sites within the Thames region.
• Mentor and guide trainees and other Gardeners to ensure a cohesive team.
• Maintain open communication with the Team Manager and report garden or planting concerns.
• Prioritise safety, compliance and quality in all garden activities.
