Key position responsibilities

  • Help the Food Safety and Quality team implement plans to manage quality risks and improve processes.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.

  • Support the team in making decisions to reduce complaints and improve production quality.

  • Participate in regular audits and checks to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Assist with testing and sampling of products to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Represent the Food Safety and Quality team in new product development and changes to processes or packaging.

  • Provide training to other teams on quality procedures.

  • Help with reporting and meetings to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Ensure all products meet customer and company quality requirements before they are released

About you

  • Strong foundation in food safety and quality, with a good understanding of low acid and acid food safety principles.

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and make informed decisions on product quality.

  • Experience with quality risk assessment and sound judgment.

  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • High level of computer literacy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.

  • High level of personal integrity and a strong sense of right and wrong.

  • Strong character and a passion for working in the food industry, with relevant technical experience.

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand – with full working rights.
