Job summary

TFE Hotels Group is recruiting for a Duty Manager to lead the front office team at Rendezvous Heritage Hotel Queenstown. You will oversee check-in/check-out, guest satisfaction, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure seamless service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a similar role or a diploma with managerial experience, with strong communication skills and a hospitality mindset. Shift work, including nights, is required.

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant work experience in a comparable role in hospitality.
• A diploma-level qualification with at least 1 year of managerial experience is acceptable.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including overnights as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• Manager’s certificate or Licence Controller qualification is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily front office operations and support the front office team.
• Manage check-in/check-out processes and guest satisfaction across shifts.
• Resolve escalated guest issues promptly and report unresolved items.
• Support orientation, training and development of front office staff.
• Coordinate shift tasks, rosters and attendance records.
• Supervise reservations and contribute to monthly KPI reports.
• Ensure CRM data accuracy and proper cashiering procedures.
