Job summary

Open Home Foundation in Whanganui is seeking a part-time Foster Parent Recruiter (10 hours per week) to join our Whanganui Service Centre. Flexibility with hours, including weekends and evenings, is required.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and networking skills, marketing knowledge or a relevant qualification, and the ability to work independently and in a team. They will develop and execute project plans and hold a NZ driver’s license, with a strong alignment to

• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required.
• Understanding of Maori-Tauiwi relations and empathy with the organisation's character.
• A full New Zealand driver’s license is essential.
• Alignment with Open Home Foundation’s Christian Kaupapa.

Responsibilities

• Recruit foster parents for the Whanganui Service Centre.
• Engage with communities to raise awareness and build networks.
• Develop and implement outreach and recruitment plans.
• Coordinate with volunteers and staff to promote foster care opportunities.
• Work weekends and evenings as required to meet recruitment targets.

The Open Home Foundation is seeking a part-time Foster Parent Recruiter to join our Whanganui Service Centre. This position is 10 hours per week. Flexibility required with hours.

The successful person will have the following:

• Excellent communication and networking skills


• Marketing knowledge and skills and/or a relevant qualification


• The ability to work alone and also as part of a team.


• The ability to develop and outwork project plans.


• To work weekends & evenings as required


• An in-depth understanding of how the role recognizes the special relationship between Maori and Tauiwi and has a strong empathy with the organization’s special character.


• A full New Zealand driver's license is essential.
