Job summary

Silver Fern Farms in Timaru, Canterbury, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Pareora plant to support cold storage operations. You will transport and stack pallets, perform forklift pre-checks, and assist with loading transport vessels.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, meeting quality standards, and working shift patterns that vary between early and late starts. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Must be a team player and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Transporting and stacking racks, frames, pallets and containers throughout cold stores.
• Operating a strapping machine and performing forklift pre-op and general maintenance.
• Inspecting export product for quality control to meet customer standards.
• Assisting in loading transport vessels as required.
