Job summary

Perfection Fresh Australia is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join our Wholesale Markets team at the Sydney Markets stand. This permanent, full-time role ensures fresh produce is received, stored, picked and dispatched efficiently, accurately and in excellent condition.

Shift hours: 02:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday to Friday. The role requires a current forklift licence and a valid driver’s licence, the ability to work in cold storage, and strong time management and communication skills to

Responsibilities

• Receival and dispatch duties including docking communication with drivers and unloading trucks.
• Fulfilment of orders: picking, packing and labeling to customer specifications.
• Maintain tidy, safe work areas and ensure FIFO stock control; manage equipment and reporting discrepancies.

Job Description

Perfection Fresh Australia is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Wholesale Markets team at our Sydney Markets stand. This permanent, full-time role is essential to ensuring fresh produce is received, stored, picked and dispatched efficiently, accurately and in excellent condition. Please note: The shift time for this role will be 02:00AM-10:00AM Monday - Friday.

Receival And Dispatch

• Communicate with drivers to ensure safe docking
• Unload Incoming trucks
• Check off stock as per transport paperwork
• Check off pallet count as per paperwork
• Record & communicate any discrepancies in paperwork with the team
• Label all incoming stock with a date code and GRN label
• Move stock to relevant areas as required
• Ensuring Chep Pallets are picked up & returned to the stand

Order Fulfilment

• Print out daily orders for picking, prioritise workload accordingly
• Collect stock from storage and palletise to customer specifications as instructed
• Print out all required labels to meet customer specifications
• Check stock quality is acceptable for customer orders, communicating any issues to supervisor

Other Duties

• Keep areas of work tidy and safe
• Removing packaging & raw material waste to waste area
• Take responsibility for the proper care, maintenance and cleanliness of the forklift operated during the shift.
• Ensure all forklifts are returned to the designated battery charging area at the end of the shift and connected for charging as required.
• Ensure all stock meets labelling requirements, including date codes, GRN labels and grower traceability. Report and rectify any discrepancies with the Management team.
• Rotate stock by date to maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) stock control.
