We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join theCanterbury Regional Forensic Mental Health Service in Christchurch. This is anexciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and well-supportedenvironment where clinical expertise is highly valued and professional growthis encouraged.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work alongside fiveexperienced Forensic Psychiatrists within a multidisciplinary team, providingspecialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across a range of settingsincluding inpatient services, community settings, Courts, and Corrections.
This role offers genuine variety and complexity, withopportunities to provide clinical leadership, contribute to servicedevelopment, participate in teaching and supervision, and support qualityimprovement initiatives. For psychiatrists interested in broadening their scopeof practice, previous forensic experience is desirable but not essential.Comprehensive support and supervision are available, including guidance aroundforensic practice, Court work, and legal processes.
