Job summary

Brandt Whangarei branch is seeking an exceptional Foreman to lead the Service Department in the workshop and mentor apprentices. You will optimise space and resources, support technicians, and collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure cohesive field and workshop operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Service Technician
• Ability to lead others
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
• Ability to use MS Office and internet functions
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift license preferred

Responsibilities

• Assign jobs and work areas to Service Department employees
• Assist in appraisal of repair orders and may participate in repairs
• Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems for technicians and apprentices
• Inspect and repair all special tools; recommend new tooling
• Advise Service Manager or Service Location Manager of customer complaints
• Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training
• Assist in coordinating quarterly safety meetings
• May fill the Service Manager or Service Location Manager role in their absence
• May arrange for and participate in re-conditioning of used equipment and setup of new equipment

Our Whangarei branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our service department as a Foreman.In this role, you will mentor and monitor the workshop team to ensure apprentices have the opportunities and support to develop their skills, the technicians in the workshop have everything they need to work effectively, and you will provide the best use of workshop space and resourcing to meet customer needs. You will collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure the field and workshop operate cohesively.

About the Opportunity:
