Job summary

Lincoln University in Lincoln, New Zealand, invites applications for a fixed-term Research Officer based at the Lincoln Campus. You will support the DairyNZ-funded Forage Value Experiment, conduct field and data-based research, analyse results, and publish findings with industry partners.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent, strong statistical analysis skills, and experience with research design and Genstat/Excel.

Qualifications

• A PhD in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience relevant to the role.
• Strong knowledge of pasture light interception processes and agricultural research methodologies.
• Experience in statistical analysis, experimental design and working with complex datasets using tools such as Excel and Genstat.
• Evidence of research achievement through scholarly publications and research outputs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research activities for the DairyNZ-funded forage value project.
• Analysing and interpreting research data and contributing to scientific publications.
• Collaborating with research teams across disciplines and institutions.
• Supporting research administration through meetings, seminars and project activities.
• Building relationships with industry, professional bodies and the wider community.
• Contributing to service, equity, Treaty of Waitangi commitments and University initiatives.
