Job summary

Saint Kentigern in Auckland seeks an experienced educator to join as a teaching leader within learning areas. You will uphold high teaching and learning standards and lead curriculum initiatives aligned with school goals.

The role requires NZ teaching registration, a teaching degree, strong communication, and a collaborative approach to support faculties, student well-being, and co-curricular programmes across our campuses.

Qualifications

• Registered NZ teacher with valid practising certificate.
• Teaching degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of current teaching methodologies and assessment practices.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills.
• Commitment to the Saint Kentigern special character and co-curricular programme.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership within the learning areas.
• Ensure the maintenance of high standard teaching and learning.
• Assist with curriculum strategy, annually reviewing units of work and programmes and analysing relevant data.
• Collaborate with other curriculum leaders and teachers to support faculties and school-wide goals.
• Promote and grow the subject and enhance academic progress.

• Strong understanding of health and safety and committed to upholding and role modelling best practice.
