Podium Restaurant is situated within Sudima Queenstown Five Mile and offers a flavorful dining experience and is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal or relax with a drink, which can be enjoyed in the outdoor mezzanine with mountain views. Alongside Podium Restaurant are our four conference facilities, catering to up to 150 people.

The Role | Te Mahi

We are seeking a Full-time Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile. We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about providing a positive dining experience every time to our customers. Whether you are a seasoned professional in the foody scene, or a newcomer to hospitality, we are keen to talk with you! Full training will be provided.

This full-time permanent role (minimum 30 hours per week) and the hourly rate for this role is from $25 - $26 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities | Ngā Haepapa

  • Working a minimum of 30 hours per week, flexibly across a 7 day roster
  • Provide a warm engaging welcome to all guests
  • Work as a team to ensure exceptional service and dining experiences
  • Preparation of various hot and cold drinks
  • Seating guests, taking orders and delivering exceptional service at all times
  • Preparation of the restaurant for service
  • Taking external and internal phone inquiries and delivery of room service
  • Settling guest accounts
  • Ensuring a positive resolution and follow up with any guest complaints

About You | Ko Koe Tēnei

  • Some flexibility to work varied rosters (which may include early morning starts, late finishes, weekends and public holidays)
  • Exceptional grooming and hygiene standards
  • Confident and timely table service
  • Have a passion for creating extraordinary cocktails
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests make the most of their day
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with good attention to detail
  • Have a desire to learn and grow your hospitality career
  • Experience in restaurant & bar service or customer facing role would be advantageous
  • Valid Right to Work in NZ
