Job summary

Match Hospitality seeks several experienced FOH Baristas for its Riverside Market venue in Christchurch. Roles include full-time and part-time positions, with a focus on espresso-based drinks, hospitality, and fast-paced service.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of barista experience, enjoy breakfast/brunch service, and can operate a POS system. Weekend work is essential, with opportunities for career growth within the group.

Qualifications

• You will be asked to pull a shot and steam milk during the interview.
• Experience with a POS system is beneficial; training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to follow an Order of Service and provide full table service.

FOH Barista:

We are looking for several experienced Baristas to join our team! We have full-time and part-time roles available. Key tasks will include operating espresso machines to brew hot and cold drinks, managing point-of-sale transactions, and upholding strict food safety guidelines, while offering high levels of service and hospitality. As a high-capacity venue, we are a fast-paced environment, and our staff will need to be able to communicate with both guests and management confidently. With each day bringing something different, being adaptable to the environment we are creating is a must!

Our Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years barista experience in the industry is preferable.


• Knowledge and passion for breakfast/brunch service.


• You will be asked as part of the interview to pull a shot and steam milk.


• Experience with a POS system is beneficial, but full training will be provided.


• Strong communication skills and confidence in communicating in English.


• Ability to follow an Order of Service and provide full table service to guests.
