A local hardware retailer seeks a part-time sales team member for its Flooring department in Ashburton. Mitre 10 MEGA has a vacancy within our sales team in our Flooring department. This position is permanent part-time on Tuesday & Wednesday 10am – 2pm and Friday & Saturday 12 Noon to 4pm. This is a great opportunity to work in one of our fastest growing departments. The role suits someone with an outgoing personality who would enjoy working closely with clients, supporting them through the exciting process of upgrading their flooring needs.
To be successful, applicants will require the following skills:
Physically fit as there is some lifting involved and flexibility to cover other shifts. Experience in floor coverings is an advantage; however, full training will be provided for the successful applicant.
Support clients through the flooring selection process and assist in delivering a high level of customer service. Work closely with the Flooring team to help customers with their needs and ensure a smooth purchasing experience.
Required: customer-focused attitude, attention to detail, good computer and communication skills, and a team player. Willingness to learn and adapt with some physical capability for lifting. Experience in floor coverings is advantageous but not required.
