Job summary

Rocket Lab Corp. is seeking an Electron Flight Software Engineer to design, maintain and support software for the Electron rocket and ground systems. You will work on avionics software, do unit testing, and collaborate on architecture and deployment of operational software.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in software/engineering and at least 2 years’ experience in software engineering. NZ-based role in a cutting-edge space hardware environment with rigorous quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years experience within a software engineering related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and unit tests for flight software according to bug-fix and feature requests.
• Maintain and support software on Electron rocket and associated ground-based communication systems.
• Review flight code merge requests and participate in software architecture meetings.
• Deliver training on use of software products and deploy operational software.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge
