Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson seeks a Health Care Assistant (0.8FTE) to support paediatric inpatients and the SCBU, working alongside nursing teams to provide patient services.

Qualifications

• Essential: Year 11 English and Maths; NZQA Level 3 qualification.
• Desirable: Home Carer Certificate.
• Mandatory: NZQA Level 3 Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand or be willing to study toward it.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside nursing teams to help provide services to the patients.
• Provide care across inpatient Paediatric ward and SCBU, supporting families and staff.
