Go Bus Transport in Napier/Hastings is seeking a fixed-term Urban Bus Driver. You will join a roster, work a minimum of 40 hours per week across 5 days in a7-day cycle, and be paid NZ$31.05 per hour gross. The role includes three weeks of training, a provided uniform, and full on-the-job preparation for safe, customer-focused driving.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 Driver’s Licence (NZ) is required.
• Previous professional driving experience is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Full NZ work rights with no restrictions.

The Role

We are looking Full Time Urban Bus Driverson a fixed term basis ending July 2027 at our Napier and Hastings Depots.

Participating in a roster, the days and hours of work each week are a minimum of 40 hours worked up to any 5 days out of 7 per week. The current gross hourly rate for this position is NZ$31.05.

You will receive at least three weeks training to achieve high standards in all parts of your work including great customer service and safe driving practices. The role requires wearing a uniform, which will be provided for you.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing a high standard of customer service.
• Safely operating a public passenger vehicle.
• Ensuring a safe and comfortable customer journey in accordance with bus timetables.

What you need:

• A current Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
• Previous experience as a professional driver is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
