Job summary

Oceania’s Waterford Village in Hobsonville is seeking an experienced Café Supervisor for a fixed-term role, 37 hours per week, from late September 2026 to early April 2027. You’ll lead the café team, ensure a welcoming experience for residents, families and visitors, and work closely with the Head Chef to deliver quality food, coffee and service.

The role involves occasional kitchen support, stock management, POS handling, and training staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in food service, including cafe supervisory roles.
• Willing to assist in kitchen and food preparation when needed.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and cafe operations.
• Barista skills would be an advantage.
• Hospitality qualification or food handling certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the café team to deliver a warm experience.
• Provide excellent service and build relationships with residents, families and visitors.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menus, cabinet offerings and presentation.
• Assist with basic cooking and food preparation when required.
• Manage stock, ordering and café inventory.
• Oversee POS and EFTPOS transactions and records.
• Support catering and resident events.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
