Future Steel Limited Job Opening: Fitter-Welders

Future Steel Limited, based in Papakura, Auckland, specializes in structural steel, metal fabrication, welding, and steel beams. We are seeking five fitter-welders to join our team.

Additional Information:
  • This position is only open to New Zealand citizens or Resident Visa holders. Please include your visa status in your CV when applying.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method, and sequence of operations, and machine settings.
  • Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment.
  • Perform accurate structural steel welding and fabrication, including other structural steel components.
  • Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.
  • Provide professional service in a timely manner.
  • Display a positive team attitude towards the role and colleagues.
  • Comply with company guidelines and policies applicable to this position.
Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:
  • At least 2 years of experience in fabricating or welding operations.
  • Relevant qualification or certification is an advantage.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Physically fit, as the job involves heavy lifting.
  • Willingness to learn and progress.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and schedules, and availability to work weekends if required.
