ALH is working with an established Lower Hutt hydraulic and general engineering business looking for an experienced Fitter Machinist / General Engineer to join their workshop team.
This isn't a production-line machining role. The work is varied and hands-on, with everything from hydraulic cylinders and mechanical repairs through to one-off machining, welding and bespoke engineering jobs.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being given a problem, working out the solution and getting stuck in.

A trade qualification would be ideal, but we're more interested in what you can actually do.
If you're confident on a manual lathe, understand fitting and mechanical repair, can weld, and are comfortable working through jobs without needing someone looking over your shoulder, we'd like to hear from you.
The role is 40 hours per week, with an occasional Saturday when required.
