Job summary

Thales is seeking a Firewall Support Engineer to safeguard corporate data and systems in a fast-paced environment. Expect day-to-day administration of security infrastructure, breach monitoring, and incident investigations, with hands-on work across Palo Alto, Fortigate, Check Point, and related tools.

You will participate in on-call rotations, collaborate with IT and L3 teams, and help maintain policies and documentation while improving threat detection and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of security protocols, TCP/IP, network security, Linux/Windows OS
• ITSM standards, processes, guidelines and best practices

Responsibilities

• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches escalated from L1 support
• Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms and dashboards
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and pen testing activities to identify weaknesses
• Implement, configure, troubleshoot and maintain security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/AV)
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and documentation
• Proactively hunt for hidden threats, malware, and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with IT, development and L3 teams to address security issues
• Prepare detailed reports of incidents, analyses and system status
• Possible 24/7 on-call rotation and on-site presence when required
