Fine Wine Experience Curator (Brand & Sales Strategist) (Wine Jobs:Sales & Marketing)

We seek a dynamic and personable Fine Wine Experience Curator to join our exclusive winery team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about wine, customer service, and sales. As a key member of our small team, you will create and provide high-end, private wine experiences, foster guest relationships, and convert positive guest experiences into wine sales and long-term brand loyalty. You will also play a key role in promoting our wine club, managing bookings, assisting with national sales and marketing efforts, and supporting the daily operations of the winery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Host Exclusive/Luxury Wine Tastings: Lead private, personalised wine tastings tailored to guests' preferences, educating them on the winery’s history, production methods, and wine profiles. Provide a memorable and enriching experience that elevates the guest's connection to the brand.
2. Sales & Brand Loyalty: Convert guest enthusiasm into wine sales, encourage wine club membership, and help build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with guests to foster customer loyalty and repeat visits.
3. Guest Service: Offer warm, welcoming, and attentive service to guests.
4. Event Planning & Execution: Design and deliver high-profile events while proactively identifying new opportunities to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Process transactions for wine sales, and any additional services or experiences.
5. Booking & Reservations Management: Oversee guest bookings for wine tastings through various channels, ensuring smooth scheduling and optimal guest experience. Work closely with tour operators to foster meaningful relationships and promote business.
6. Day-to-Day Operations Support: Assist with routine office tasks, inventory tracking, event coordination, and guest communications to ensure smooth daily operations. Contribute to digital marketing initiatives, including social media engagement, email campaigns, and content creation. Travel to key accounts throughout the country may also be required from time to time.
7. Wine Education & Brand Ambassador: Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for the winery, sharing your expertise with guests and cultivating a deeper appreciation for our unique offerings.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience and proven ability in sales
• Experience in the hospitality industry, wine tourism, or luxury experiences
• A charismatic personality; always personable and professional
• Previous experience with booking systems, event coordination, and digital/strategic marketing with a high level of organisation

This is a fixed-term contract for one year initially; however, the total hours and pay rate can be flexible depending on the candidate and their experience.

Hours could range from 30 to 40 hours a week covering 4-5 days.

While some of the work can be done remotely, most will be undertaken on site at our winery in Gibbston. There will also be the requirement to work some weekends for events.

Our ideal candidate would have the right to engage as an independent contractor; however, this is not a requirement.
