Waipā Networks is seeking a Financial and Regulatory Analyst in Te Awamutu to turn complex data into actionable insights. You will analyse financial performance, support pricing and investment decisions, and strengthen regulatory reporting and network billing data.

Qualifications

• At least five years' relevant experience in financial analysis, management reporting, regulatory reporting, or business intelligence.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, economics, analytics or a related discipline.
• Strong modelling and analytical skills with advanced Excel; experience with Power BI and SQL.
• Experience reconciling data from multiple sources.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Strong communication skills to work with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports and analyses that explain financial and operational performance, highlight drivers and risks, and support planning.
• Build financial models and run scenario analyses for long-term planning and investment decisions.
• Support regulatory reporting, including Commerce Commission Information Disclosures.
• Consolidate data from different systems, investigate anomalies and explain variances.
• Improve reporting processes, controls and documentation, including automation of manual tasks.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to resolve data issues and improve reporting practices.
