The opportunity

The commercial Financial Controller will lead the financial planning, reporting, and compliance frameworks that underpin performance and growth. At the same time, play a hands-on business partnering role – translating financial data into clear insights that support decision-making, profitability, and long-term strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain robust financial control across reporting, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in line with business and group expectations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, board packs, and performance dashboards.
  • Provide commercial insights on revenue drivers, commissions, client profitability, and operational trends.
  • Monitor cashflow and liquidity, ensuring strong financial management and risk mitigation.
  • Support M&A activity through financial modelling, due diligence, integration, and post-deal analysis.
  • Partner with operational leaders to deliver clear insights that influence decision-making and growth strategies.
  • Lead and develop Finance team members, fostering accountability, capability, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
  • CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial insights that impact business outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling capability.
  • Experienced in leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.
  • Experience with M&A processes and external audit (preferred).
