Job summary

Xero Limited is seeking a Financial Accountant to help deliver quality financial information and drive continuous improvement within our Group Accounting team in Wellington. You will own the month-end close process, support external disclosures, and help automate finance workflows to reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

• You bring strong technical accounting knowledge, with a Chartered Accountant qualification (or on your way to one).
• You demonstrate an eye for process improvement and a genuine enthusiasm for finding efficiencies - not just completing tasks, but questioning how things could work better.
• You have excellent attention to detail, alongside the ability to analyse financial results, spot trends, and communicate your findings with clarity.
• You're comfortable being uncomfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and you're expected to Go Bold by thinking beyond the immediate problem and taking initiative.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations using integrated finance systems
