As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and proactiveFinance Accountant / Finance Manager to lead and strengthen our finance function from our Mangere head office.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the leadership team, you will oversee financial operations and provide critical analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role combines management of core finance functions with the delivery of insightful financial analysis to drive business growth and efficiency. It will suit a commercially minded professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working collaboratively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting– Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, board reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide financial insights to guide decision-making.

Financial Analysis– Analyse performance, trends, and variances to deliver actionable insights and support strategic planning.

Cashflow & Working Capital– Monitor and forecast cashflow, manage banking relationships, and ensure optimal working capital.

Payroll & Tax Compliance– Oversee payroll processing, PAYE, GST, and other statutory tax filings in line with NZ regulations.

Accounts Payable & Receivable– Supervise AP/AR processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Monitor aged receivables and support credit control.

Audit & Compliance– Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Systems & Processes– Maintain and improve financial systems and controls. Work with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
NetSuite ERP System:Our business utilises NetSuite as its ERP system. Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.

Inventory Oversight– Collaborate with operations to monitor and reconcile stock and inventory movements, contributing to supply chain and cost control decisions.

Leadership– Provide support and mentorship to junior finance or admin team members, building a high-performing and motivated finance function.

About You

You are detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused, capable of balancing day-to-day financial responsibilities with strategic thinking.

Experience in a finance or accounting management or analyst role

Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills, with up-to-date knowledge of NZ accounting standards and tax regulations

Proficiency in Excel; experience with inventory systems is essential

Experience using NetSuite and NetSuite reporting is highly preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a dynamic business environment

A proactive mindset, with a continuous improvement approach to processes and systems
